YOGA , from the Sanskrit root yui “to yoke” or “to unite”

Yoga originated in India 5000 years ago as a spiritual practise focused on uniting the earthly practitioner with a universal, divine conscious. Today, it is practiced around the world with a diversity of intention that still anticipates a union; however, yoga has evolved to encompass a broad acceptance for what that union is and for what purpose. In general, it is best described as a mind body- spirit system for achieving self- awareness.

How yoga works?

Yoga is a mind – body -spirit system designed to help the practitioner discover their true self. It assumes that the true self resides in the soul (or spirit) – not the body not the mind. In daily life, the needs of the body and the desires of the mind often eclipse of the soul. Yoga in all its forms, provides a means for the practitioner to master the body and the mind so that the soul ( or true self) can emerge to share in the experience of life.
